Football is a game that should be played in the spirit of friendship.
Players, match officials and spectators alike should also enjoy the game. There has a been a recent disturbing trend to unacceptable behavior by a minority of people associated with some clubs in the League. Such misconduct is not tolerated.
League management committees have wide ranging powers to handle disciplinary matters. Players, spectators and officials can all be found guilty of misconduct. In such cases it is likely that the offender will also be found guilty of bringing the leagues into disrepute.
Officials (Team managers, Coaches, Club Officials, etc.)
- Officials, particularly managers, have a crucial role to play in the game.
- Encourage your players to play in the correct spirit.
- Do not abuse your own players or the opponents.
- Handle any unruly behaviour among your spectators before it gets out of hand.
- Do not use foul, abusive or insulting language to match officials, players or spectators.
- Under no circumstances enter the field of play during the course of the match unless expressly requested to do so by the referee.
- Referees, parents and spectators who are officiating as referees and assistants referees have the full authority of the F.A. It is the responsibility of the club officials to ensure that they are treated with respect.
- Under no circumstances remove your team from the pitch without the express permission of the referee.
