Phoenix Sports Club | Your Childs Team

Your child's team will start off as U7s playing mini soccer (7 a-side) friendlies in the SELKENT League. They will then start playing league and cup matches from U8s up to U10s. From U11s they will progress to 11 a side football.

The U7s season will be an introduction for the players and yourself to the workings of junior football and The Club. The managers will oversee this for the first year and will be seeking new managers to take the teams forward.

Obviously there are costs involved in running any team or club activity. Phoenix is no exception. When registering your child to play you will be asked to pay £50.00 signing fee, and then weekly subs. These fees cover many expenses, such as training, pitch and ground maintenance, County fees, league fees, phone bills etc.

The team will be provided with training equipment, balls, first aid and kits. Training will be at Perry St. astro turf on a night which is acceptable to all. You will no doubt wish to raise money for tracksuits, kitbags, etc. this may be done in various ways, e.g. raffles and discos. Your team manager will be able to advise you on this. We recommend that you organise someone within your team to oversee these matters and also someone to look after your accounts.

Your manager or team representative will attend a regular monthly meeting where they will receive details of forthcoming fixtures and events. These meetings are extremely important to the club and should be attended by at least 1 member of your team.
